Writer's Block - Because Real Life is Boring

How would you describe your life so far in a six-word sentence? How often would your 'life sentence' change?  I am made of awesome sauce.  Every freakin' minute.

Do you have a lucky or unlucky piece of clothing? If you have a lucky garment, when do you wear it and what sort of luck has it brought you? If you have an unlucky piece of clothing, why do you keep it? Do you ever wear it just to see what happens?  No.  As in the words of the great Sheldon Cooper "That is a bunch of hokum."

Is there any book you can read over and over again without ever getting sick of it? Do you discover something new every time you read it?  Outside of the Bible, I would say "The Catcher in the Rye".  Not really.

Do you think good-natured teasing often goes too far? Have you ever gotten seriously offended by a joke that crossed the line? Have you been informed that your own teasing hurt someone else's feelings?  Did you hear the one about the gay drunken priest who loved to fondle the democratic party and had relations with the national deficit?  No?

A number of U.S. states are planning to legalize marijuana. Do you agree or disagree with this policy, and why?  I disagree with it, but that won't stop people from buying it whether its legal or not.

Whether you've chosen to have children or live child-free, how and when did you (or will you) reach this decision? If you're in a relationship, did you (or will you) decide separately or together?  I eventually want children, but my current tolerance for the little ankle biters is low.

The eighties were known as the Me decade. The nineties have been called the Electronic age. So far, what would you label this decade?  I never knew those titles.  I think someone made those up.

Do you have a favorite paranormal story and/or urban legend? When did you first hear it? What's the story behind the story?  There is a story about a group of kids that formed a club but one of them were a time traveler, one was an alien, another was a douchebag, one was a narrator, and the last one can either create or destroy the world.

If the interior discussion in your head were indexed by category, what would the five most recurring subjects be?  Random, snark, people label, monkeys, and insanity,

Do you suffer from occasional or frequent insomnia? Do you have any special tricks or remedies? How does it impact your life? Yes, I do suffer from school.  It caused my current addiction to Bawls.

Do you plan on celebrating St. Patrick's Day? If so, how? What memories and feelings do you associate with this holiday?  Not especially.  My feelings is that it has been turned into a holiday for alchoholic douchebags.

If you could be invisible for a day, where would you go and what would you do? Do you think you might be upset by what you discovered?  I would watch a certain person change clothes.  If she ends up being a dude I will be upset.

What's the best movie you've seen so far this year? How about the best song? The best book?  Best movie: Monty Python and the Holy Grail.  Best Song: Round and Round by Ratt.  Best Book: Yotsuba&!.  Hey, it didn't ask me for NEW ones.

What's the first major news event that you remember hearing about as a child? Where did you learn about it? How did it impact your world view?   Monsters destroy a town in Japan.  7 kids found with other monsters.

If a catastrophe struck and you had to leave your home in a hurry (and never return), what items would you grab in your last ten minutes, and why?  My lappies, Wii, my anime, my manga, my xbox 360.  Hey, I can be quick!

What's the most embarrassing CD or track in your music library? How often do you listen to it? Do you share it with your friends or keep it to yourself?  Hey There Delilah by the Plain White Ts.  Teens RUINED that song.  Then again, teens ruin anything they get their grubby little hands on.

If you could select one person from history and ask them a question to which they had to reply with an honest answer, who would you select, and what would you ask them?  I would ask the makers of Jello why they insist on creating a Tapioca flavored pudding.

If you could eliminate one emotion (anxiety, sadness, jealousy, regret, etc.), would you do it? Why or why not? If so, which one would you choose?  Anxiety, because if I got rid of anger, I would have job satisfaction and I don't want that.

Do you believe that a higher power controls our fate or that we choose our own destinies?  As much as people go on about "fate" and "destiny", I think we make our own choices and seal our own fates through the actions we take.  Well, unless I am actually in a TV show in which case, yes, I am certain of fate.

Do you believe there is other intelligent life in distant galaxies? If no, why not? If yes, do you believe this is something to be feared and avoided or actively sought out?  What are you talking about?  There is no intelligent life on THIS planet let alone on others.

Are there any movies you watch when you're feeling anxious or depressed? If so, what are they, and what about them calms you down and/or lifts your spirits? I rarely watch movies, so no.  I watch either anime or tv shows.  Lately I've been marathoning 'I Love Lucy".

Are you worried about where technology will lead us? Do you think it's possible that civilization may someday turn away from technology altogether for the betterment of humankind?  The problem's plain to see.  Too much technology.  Machines to save our lives.  Machines dehumanize.

We're thrilled to announce that our beloved mascot, Frank, has been asked to star in an upcoming 3D movie about a goat and his lawyer: Frank & Stein. Who would you cast in the leading roles?  Heck, I'd watch that.

If an alien ship were to land in your backyard and choose you as the earthly representative of humanity, what would you tell them about our world? Would you consider going back with them for a visit?  Seriously, there are no signs of intelligent life here!  Are you Vogons?  Would you recite some poetry for me?

Do certain items of clothing remind you of people or events from your past? If so, what garment reminds you of a particularly happy memory?   No, because I'm not a freak.

That's it for this edition of writer's block.  Thanks, Livejournal.  You've saved me once again.
