Quickie Entry: Anime Releases and Purchases

RightStuf had their Funimation sale and I bought a lot of DVDs that I have wanted. I should be receiving "Sgt. Frog Season 2 Part 1", "Bamboo Blade Part 2", and "Baccano! Complete Series" in the mail in a few days, and I can't wait to see the first two. I still love Baccano, but I already seen it twice in the past month, so I can wait on that.

I also preordered "Sgt. Frog Season 2 Part 2", "Soul Eater Part 1", "Soul Eater Part 2" and suprisingly "Kenichi the Mightiest Disciple Season 2 Part 1". So the next few months will be anime-rich, although Sould Eater really suprised me.

One series I am unsure of is "Strike Witches". It looks ok, but the blatant fanservice concerns me. I'm going to have to see a couple of episodes before I make my decision. A little fanservice doesn't bother me, but a series where they have fanservice every 5 minutes is a bit much for me. I also have a strict "no nudity" clause with anime which has caused me to pass by a few titles. I accidently got Full Metal Panic the Second Raid without realizing that there were some breasts shown for a few seconds. Sure, it was a few seconds, but it still made me uncomfortable. I know, I'm weird.

One last one I want to see dubbed really badly is "My Bride is a Mermaid". Funimation finally uploaded a couple of subbed episodes on youtube, and I actually laughed at some of the humor despite not having it in English, so I can't imagine what a rush it will be in English. I can't wait to see it!

That's all. I suppose this was more than a "quickie", but I don't care.
