Drooling Over Voice Actresses. I Know, I'm Sad.
Ice King, Adventure Time
Have I seriously not posted since Monday? Weird...could have sworn I blogged earlier...

Anyways, switching to anime fanboy mode. Missed him much?

Ok, first off, I am not suggesting that the upcoming anime release of Strike Witches will be good or anything, I just noticed something odd with the cast announcement.

Now here are three voice actresses that I adore and I would put in my top five favorites: Kira-Vincent Davis, Luci Christian, and Stephanie Sheh. What's so odd about this? Let me tell you....

Let's start with Luci Christian, better known as Kaname Chidori from Full Metal Panic, Asuna Kagurasaka from the Negima series, and Tenma Tsukamoto from School Rumble. I don't know why, but I always look to see if she is going to be in an anime series that I am going to get, and she stars in many of them. She used to be a voice actress for the then ADV label, which has since disappeared. After ADV pretty much stopped the dubbing business, Luci started to appear more with Funimation projects, and was pretty much the first VA I was really exposed to, so I have a soft spot for her.

Now let's look at Kira-Vincent Davis, who also worked at ADV. She did the voices of Osaka from Azumanga Daioh and Rino Rando in Best Student Council. After ADV stopped dubbing titles, she sort of disappeared from the dubbing scene, and I thought that we may have seen the last of her wonderful voice acting, but thankfully we will be hearing her in Strike Witches, so my fears were alleviated.

Finally, the odd ball of the group, Stephenie Sheh who has done many voices for many characters including Mikuru Asahina from Haruhi Suzumiya, Akira Kogami from Lucky Star, Eureka in Eureka Seven, Orihime from Bleach, and countless others I could nab from Wikipedia. The odd thing? She doesn't appear in Funimation titles but in an odd rarity. She mainly works on series from Bandai or ones done by Bang! Zoom entertainment. Does this mean that Sheh is going to be working more with Funimation? Is she more or less a free agent? I'm just excited that she will be in a series with two of my other favorite voice actresses.

So this anouncement of the voice actresses has me excited about the future of dubbed titles from Funimation. I may even check out Strike Witches if my spirit compells me....

Fanboy mode off.

Or not....meh, we'll see. Robotic furries who have magical powers and fight battles in World War II doesn't really appeal to me. I may still check it out...

Hopefully I can blog again soon. Bye everyone!
