One of the things I am going to do is have a "School Rumble" marathon. I just got "Second Semester Part 2" in the mail today (which suprised me, since the street date was for today. I was weary about traveling the roads today and tomorrow). I already watched the first disc, and am saving the second disc for tomorrow night as semi-celebratory. Its bittersweet because it is the final disc of the series (unless the
"third semester" OVA is released, in which case is just another 40 minutes, but still). It has been a lot of fun watching the series so far. The first seaon rocked, the first part of season two...honestly...not so much. This one has been, so far, some of the best anime I have ever seen. I won't gush on about it much more, but expect a dvd review for the set soon. I already peeked at the first episode and its a "Charming Mai" episode, which in and of itself, made me lose my breath due to laughter. Its obviously going to be a spoof of "magical girl" anime, so I can't wait.
Hopefully I will get the first season (better not be series) of "The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya". Here is my main problem with this series right now: It is too darn short. 14 episodes isn't enough. I mean junk like Naruto and Bleach (I pronounce it BLEKCH...like youre barfing...) get 26+ episodes a season while quality shows like "Haruhi Suzumiya" only get 14. Yes, I have already seen all of these and yes, I know they are "working" on a second season, but it has been a really long wait. Then again, I really don't watch non-dubbed anime, so the wait will be longer anyhow.
Anyways, after AnimeCon 2008, I think I am going to play some games and just relax. Ironically enough, due to classes being axed and such, I had to drop the two I signed up for (Sad Panda face), but in leiu of that, I am going to take a video game development class. Yeah, I know, this is an odd choice, but if I am going to be serious about possibly being a gaming programmer, then I need all the help I can get. I took one in the CIS department, and this one is in the EMP department. I know the teacher (he is a cool, albeit WoW enthusiast), and it should be a relatively easy class, according to sources. Last I knew you make maps of "Half Life" or something, but still, the lectures might be good.
Oh yeah, I also have a special 4-part audio blog coming up. It was one I promised waaaaaay back when, maybe during the old "Geek's Weekly/Ners R Us" days. What is it? You'll have to wait and see. I think they'll show up before the end of the year, and not all at once.
I also know I've been skipping the "Chuck/Heroes" reviews, but most of them (Especially Heroes) just haven't been blogworthy or worth my little time. I think I might review the latest one, but I may not. Who knows. It is the haitus time, television-wise, so it may show up later than usual.
One thing I would love to say is that my blogging may increase, and that very well may be the truth, but I cannot promise that. It may happen more frequently now, but not overly much. I have a ton on my mind right now, ranging from romance, family, work, and personality thoughts, and I know I will be blogging about it soon enough. Today, for instance, my mind has been on love a lot, but not in the traditional sense. I may expound upon it furthur, but I may forget in a few days anyways. I honestly don't know. Don't get me wrong, life is good right now, but I have thoughts, like any other human being.
Oh yeah, I am working on a new "Lyrics Test" for the upcoming holiday. I already have a few picked out, and it will be MUCH MUCH easier than the last one. Out of a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 being the hardest, the last one was a 7/10, and this new one should be a 4/10. I honestly believe it. I mean hey, it could be worse. I could do a J-rock one, but no one would get any of those. Yeah, I am nice :P.
Anyways, I have things to do, so take care, friends. Do well on your finals, and travel safe. The roads are slightly hazarous, so be careful! Take care, until then!
